Cyprus police seize large batch of liquid cocaine
A 65-year-old man was detained at Larnaca Airport after four kilograms of liquid cocaine were found in his luggage. This was reported by Philenews citing a police bulletin.
How was the drug found?
At around 14:15, a customs officer, acting on a tip from officers of the Anti-Drug Service (YKAN), stopped the man, who had arrived from abroad, for inspection. In his luggage, they found ten packets containing liquid, hidden inside plastic cosmetic containers. Laboratory analysis showed that it was liquid cocaine with a total weight of four kilograms.
The man was arrested for questioning. According to police, this is the first case of liquid-form cocaine found in such a quantity in Cyprus.
