Fire near Skarinou brought under control
The fire that broke out near the old Kofinou — Limassol road, in the area of the exit to Skarinou, was brought under control.
According to the Fire Service, an area of approximately four hectares was affected by the fire, with dry grass and wild vegetation burning.
Four fire engines from the Vasilikos station and EMAK units, three Forestry Department vehicles with ten firefighters, three Game and Fauna Service vehicles and a hired water tanker were deployed to fight the fire.
The nearby orchard was protected during the fire.
The causes of the fire are under investigation.
