According to the Department of Meteorology, the region is under the influence of seasonal low pressure. Overnight in Cyprus, mostly clear weather is expected, although in the pre-dawn hours light fog and low cloud may occur in places. The wind will be northwesterly, northeasterly, and on the northern coast southeasterly, light (up to force 3 on the Beaufort scale). The sea will be calm or slightly rough. The thermometer will drop to 20°C inland, around 22°C on the coast, and down to 15°C in the high mountains.

During the day on Monday, 22 June, the weather will initially be clear. However, after midday an increase in cloud cover is expected, bringing local showers and thunderstorms, mainly in mountainous areas and in the central part of the island. The wind will shift to southwesterly and northwesterly, from light to moderate (force 3–4), with gusts up to force 5 on windward coasts. Daytime air temperature will rise to 37°C inland, to 30°C on the western coast, around 32°C on the rest of the coast, and to 26°C in the Troodos mountains.

During the night into Tuesday, the weather will clear. On Tuesday, 23 June, in the second half of the day there is still a chance of brief local showers and thunderstorms in the mountains and the central part of the island. Beginning on Wednesday and continuing into Thursday, Cyprus will see stable mostly clear weather, while air temperatures will begin to rise gradually, exceeding the average climate values for this time of year.
