Five projects worth €9 million: what will change in Geroskipou by the end of 2026
Heroipikia Municipality is implementing five major development projects worth a total of €9 million. The works will cover the road network, the coastline, the historic centre and the social sector. Contracts for two of the projects have already been awarded to contractors: the upgrade of Archbishop Makarios III Avenue and the second phase of the redevelopment of the seaside promenade, worth €1 million.
At the same time, in the historic core of Geroskipou, the central square and the Kato Vrisi area will be renovated, a Child Care Centre is being built in Konia, and the basin of the Olympic Swimming Centre will be restored by the end of the year. According to the head of the municipality, these projects will lay the groundwork for the further development of the districts unified after the reform.
