Strong winds and rain in some areas: when a new rise in temperatures is expected

Cyprus remains under the influence of a seasonal area of low pressure, which will bring increased cloud cover and isolated showers in some areas.

During the day, the weather will be mostly clear, although increased cloud cover is expected in some areas and may lead to brief showers, mainly in the mountainous regions and in the east of the island.

Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, moderate to strong, force 4–5, and will occasionally reach force 6 on the southern coast. The sea will be slightly rough, and rough in open areas.

Clear weather will prevail overnight, although low cloud may occur in some areas. Temperatures will drop to 21 degrees in the central areas and along the coast, and to 12 degrees in the mountainous regions.

Tomorrow, the weather will be mostly clear, although isolated showers are possible in the mountains during the afternoon. Temperatures in the central areas will reach 35 degrees.

From Monday, temperatures are expected to gradually rise and will be above the climatic average in the coming days.
