The barn owl rescued in Cyprus returned a year later with four chicks!
A touching success story with a happy ending unfolded in Cyprus. Exactly a year ago, volunteers and environmentalists rescued and cared for an injured barn owl, after which it was ringed and released back into the wild.
A year later, the bird not only returned to the place where it had been rescued, but also had offspring — biologists found it in a nest with four healthy chicks. The project to preserve the population of these owls in Cyprus has been recognized as highly successful.
