The third season of House of the Dragon has begun

The third season of the cult series House of the Dragon has officially kicked off — and it seems the creators have finally unleashed the very madness fans have been waiting for since the first episode. If the previous seasons were mostly about conspiracies, weddings, betrayals and conversations in dark halls, Westeros is now plunging into a full-scale civil war, where the struggle for the throne will be decided not by words, but by dragonfire.

The premiere episode opened with the legendary Battle of the Gullet — one of the largest naval battles in the history of the Game of Thrones world. For the shoot, the creators took an unprecedented step: two full-size warships were built and used for the масштабные battle scenes. Later, Westerosi historians will call this conflict the cause of the near-total disappearance of dragons, which by the time of the original Game of Thrones had become little more than legend.

The creators promise that viewers can expect a record number of aerial battles between dragons. If in the first two seasons these creatures more often served as symbols of power, now they become true weapons of mass destruction. Each dragon has its own character, fighting style and even strategic value on the battlefield.

Viewers are also praising the introduction of new characters, many of whom will play a key role in the war. At the same time, the creators have already warned: there are no safe heroes anymore. As the story develops, the losses will become increasingly severe, and the stakes will be higher and higher.

It seems that after several years of preparation, the series has finally entered its main phase. The Dance of the Dragons has truly begun — and if the first reactions are anything to go by, viewers are in for the most spectacular and brutal season in the franchise’s history.
