Is Sting bringing major concerts back to Cyprus? Limassol awaits new international stars

Cyprus is appearing increasingly often on the touring schedules of global performers. Sting’s concert in Limassol could be another step towards the island once again hosting major international artists.

The performance will take place on 4 August at «Tsirio» Stadium as part of the Sting 3.0 world tour. Organisers note strong interest in the event, while the standing section has already sold out completely.

Several major concerts have taken place in Cyprus in recent years. In 2024, Ed Sheeran, Tom Jones, Bonnie Tyler and Bryan Adams performed on the island. However, after the closure of the temporary Land of Tomorrow venue in Larnaca, Cyprus once again faced a shortage of large permanent concert venues.

Sting has already performed in Limassol — in 2006, he took to the stage at «Tsirio» Stadium as part of the Broken Music tour. Twenty years later, the artist will return to the same venue.

During the concert, the 74-year-old musician will perform well-known hits from his time with The Police, including «Message in a Bottle», «Every Breath You Take» and «Roxanne», as well as songs from his solo career.

Before Sting’s performance, the Cypriot band 12 Limbs will take to the stage. The stadium doors will open at 18:00, with the concert scheduled to begin at 20:30.
