Tender for the concession of the Talassaki café in Limassol has reached its final stage
On 20 June 2026, the Limassol Municipality opened the envelopes of the seven participants in the tender for the lease of the iconic beach café “Talassaki” on the Akti Olympion promenade. The city council will make the final decision.
Financial bids for a 5-year lease:

— Feotia Tsiala — €723 000
— Catercom Ltd — €522 240
— A. Zorbas and Sons Ltd — €514 620
— Mak Way Ltd — €378 000
— DGCON Limited — €101 201
Contract terms:
The agreement is concluded for 5 years with the right to extend it for another 5 years (upon renewal, the rent will increase by 7%). To protect residents’ interests, the municipality has strictly limited the maximum prices for the basic menu: 500 ml water — €1, Cypriot coffee and juice — €1.50, frappe and tea — €2, freddo espresso and beer — €3, local wine — €5.
Limassol Mayor Yiannis Armeftis noted that, barring delays and appeals, the “Talassaki” café, which has been operating since the promenade’s reconstruction about 20 years ago, will resume work by the end of July 2026.
