Three fans banned from stadiums in Cyprus after Cup final

The Nicosia District Court has banned three men aged 19, 29 and 31 from attending any sports venues until their trials begin. The restrictions are linked to offenses recorded on May 29 at GSP Stadium during the Cyprus Cup final match between Apollon Limassol and Pafos FC. Decisions in two separate cases falling under the law on combating violence at sports venues were issued on June 2. All those involved were released on bail pending the proceedings.
Two suspects (aged 19 and 29) are facing charges of conspiracy to commit a serious offense, as well as transporting explosives and dangerous items. The court ordered each of them to post personal bail of 10,000 euros, while also banning them from stadiums until the hearing scheduled for July 2. The third defendant (aged 31) is charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, as well as transporting explosives and bladed weapons. He was released on 2,000-euro bail with a requirement to report weekly to the police station, and the court ban on attending arenas will remain in force for him until July 6.
