Ukrainian children enjoy a holiday in Cyprus away from the war
Eight Ukrainian children affected by the war enjoyed a holiday in Cyprus thanks to an initiative by Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides. The trip was made possible through cooperation between the President’s Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism of Cyprus and the country’s embassy in Kyiv.
The Office of the Ukrainian Ombudsman, the Children’s Rights Protection Centre, travel company Join UP and airline SkyUp Airlines also took part in organising the trip.
During their stay in Cyprus, the children visited beaches, discovered the island’s nature, cuisine and culture, and gained positive impressions away from the difficult events associated with the war.
