Cyprus to Allocate €9 Million for Clergy Salaries in 2025
The Government of the Republic of Cyprus plans to allocate approximately €9 million for clergy salaries in 2025.
According to the budget presented by the Ministry of Finance, €8.85 million will be allocated for the salaries of Orthodox priests and clergy working in rural areas. Under the terms of the agreement, the state provides each clergy member with a monthly payment of €681. In 2025, this allowance will be given to 850 clergy members.
