23-year-old man detained in Ayia Napa with “laughing gas”
In the night of July 5, police detained a 23-year-old man in Ayia Napa on suspicion of illegal possession of nitrous oxide («laughing gas») with the intent of later passing it on to other people.
At around 2 a.m., officers from the police mobile unit stopped a car for inspection, with the suspect at the wheel.
During a search of the vehicle, 20 nitrous oxide canisters, eight balloons and an inhalation device were found and seized.
The Ayia Napa police station is investigating the case.
