Cyprus Airports Record Highest Number of Arrivals in February
Larnaca and Paphos airports saw record-breaking arrivals in February, with passenger traffic surpassing 500,000 for the first time.
According to the Ministry of Transport, Larnaca and Paphos airports handled 535,423 passengers in February 2025, marking an 8% increase compared to the previous year. Since the beginning of 2025, passenger traffic has risen by 7.39%.
Compared to 2024, Larnaca Airport recorded a 12.4% increase in passenger numbers, while Paphos Airport saw a 2.95% decline.
The top five countries of arrival were Greece, the United Kingdom, Poland, Israel, and Germany. Air traffic also grew by 4.85% compared to 2024, with a total of 4,713 flights.
Notably, 2024 had already set a record for tourist arrivals in the Republic of Cyprus. This upward trend continued into early 2025, with Larnaca and Paphos airports handling 551,439 passengers in January, a 6.81% increase from the previous year.
