In India, a one-and-a-half-year-old child bit a venomous snake to death

An unusual incident occurred in the Indian state of Bihar: a one-and-a-half-year-old child bit a cobra, killing it, and was unharmed in the process. According to local media, a boy named Samir Kumar was playing near his house in a village on the outskirts of Patna when a snake crawled into the yard and wrapped around his arm. The child was not afraid and bit the snake twice in response, which led to its death.

The family reported that the cobra did not have the chance to bite the baby — doctors confirmed the absence of venom in his body. Nevertheless, Samir was immediately taken to the nearest hospital, where doctors monitored his condition for a day. Fortunately, the child suffered no consequences.

Experts call such a case extremely rare. Biologists note that children usually become victims of snake bites, not the other way around. Samir’s parents expressed gratitude to fate and the medical staff for their child’s survival and safety. The snake was later found dead near the scene of the incident.

The incident sparked intense discussion on Indian social networks and became a reason to admire the bravery of the little boy.
