Old furniture will be removed free of charge in Limassol

On Friday, 10 July, the municipality of Limassol will organise free collection of bulky waste in the Agios Ioannis area. The initiative is being carried out as part of the city beautification and cleaning programme.

The collection will cover Aiōn-Pandon, Yana Sibeliusa, Marconi, Aristogitonos, Achilleos, Asklipiou, Filellinon, Trion-Ierarchon, Pireos, Mouson, Gutembergiou, Mikonou, Astingos, Akamandos, Olympiou Dios, Nikolaou Skoufa, Georgiou Economidi, Suliou, as well as a section of Misiaouli and Kavazoglou Street (houses No. 40–80).

Residents may place unwanted items outside their homes already in the second half of the day on 9 July. At the same time, the items must not obstruct pedestrian or vehicle traffic.

Municipal services will remove old furniture, mattresses, wooden items, plastic toys and other bulky waste.

Construction waste, building materials, household rubbish, pruned branches and agricultural waste will not be accepted.

The municipality called on residents to take part in the initiative and help make the area cleaner.
