Two young men arrested in Limassol after fight, one person injured

Limassol police arrested two young men, including a 15-year-old teenager, after a fight in which a 21-year-old man was injured with a sharp object, believed to be a knife.

The incident occurred shortly before midnight on Vasileos Konstantinou Street, near Tsirion Stadium. Police received a report of a fight between foreigners and sent a patrol to the scene.

Officers who arrived found the 21-year-old man with an injury to his back. The injured man was taken to hospital, where he received medical treatment, had stitches applied and was kept for further treatment.

While checking the area, police found two young men. One of them had a metal chain, leading to his arrest on suspicion of carrying an object that could be used as a weapon.

In addition, neither of the detainees had identity documents. They were also detained to establish their identities. It was later found that they were a 21-year-old man and a 15-year-old teenager.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the fight.
