Driver hits pedestrian and flees the scene in Limassol
Police in Limassol are investigating a road accident in which a driver hit a young pedestrian and fled the scene.
The crash occurred on the evening of 11 July at around 20:46 at the intersection of Ayias Fylaxeos Avenue and 1 April Street. The young man, under 25, was crossing the road when he was struck by a passing vehicle.
According to witnesses, the driver did not stop after the collision and immediately left the scene. One witness said the car was white, and the pedestrian is believed to have been hit by the side mirror before falling onto the roadway.
The injured man was taken to Limassol General Hospital. After receiving medical assistance, he was discharged home.
Police are asking drivers who were in the area at the time of the incident to provide dashcam footage or any information that could help identify the vehicle and its driver.
