In the village of Limnia in the Famagusta district, the restoration of the Hadjipanteli House has been completed — one of the most valuable monuments of traditional Cypriot architecture. The building has been protected by the state as a historic monument since 1971.

The oldest part of the house dates back to the late 18th century, which gives it particular historical and architectural value. The mansion has been rebuilt several times, while preserving unique features from different eras.

One of the building's distinguishing features is its stone architectural details and carved elements, which are believed to have been brought here from ancient Salamis and medieval structures in the region.

During the restoration, specialists strengthened the masonry, restored the roof, brick structures, wooden elements and floors. Historical stone decorations were also restored, the inner courtyard was landscaped and the fence was rebuilt.

The project was funded by the European Union, and the work was carried out under the technical guidance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

According to the project organizers, the restoration will help preserve one of the region's important architectural heritage sites and pass it on to future generations.
