Traffic Restrictions in Nicosia on June 12 Due to Night Run
On Friday, June 12, the traditional night race Running Under The Moon will take place in Nicosia. In connection with this major sporting event, police and municipal services will introduce temporary traffic restrictions in the area of the University of Cyprus (UCY).
General traffic restrictions will come into force at 19:00 and will remain in place until the main stages of the race are over (approximately until 23:00). The start and finish points for the 5 km and 10 km races are scheduled at the University of Cyprus Sports Center. The main race routes will affect Athalassas Avenue in the direction of Aroanas Hill, as well as Dimitris Christofias Avenue (on the section up to the forest nurseries of the Athalassa Forestry Department).
Drivers are asked to plan their trips in advance, choose alternative routes, and strictly follow the instructions of road signs and traffic controllers. Participants and spectators arriving by private transport are advised by the organizers to reach the start area via RIK Avenue — Kyrenia Avenue.
