Two people injured and trapped in vehicles after crash in Nicosia
In Nicosia, rescuers had to free two drivers after a serious road traffic accident.
The crash occurred on Saturday at around 16:09 on Athalassas Avenue, where two passenger cars collided.
Firefighters used special hydraulic equipment to free the injured people. After both drivers had been freed, they were handed over to ambulance crews.
The injured people were taken to the emergency department of Nicosia General Hospital.
One rescue unit attended the scene. The circumstances of the crash are being investigated.
