The 10th Anti-Scene Festival of Theatre and Performing Arts will take place in Paphos

On 28 and 29 August 2026, the 10th anniversary Anti-Scene Festival of Theatre and Performing Arts will take place in the Yalia area of Paphos.

This year, the festival will be held for the first time at the new Val’s Place venue — an open-air space near the sea. Over the two days, audiences can look forward to theatre productions, performances, music and various creative events. The theme of the anniversary festival will be «The Borderlands». The programme includes the performances «The Return of Iphigenia», «Flat Shoes», «Different Shadows», «VIGIL FOR PENTHEUS: Reflections on the End of Civilisation», «Voice and Earth», «Belly», as well as the interactive project «The Trail».

In addition to performances and theatre productions, visitors will be able to see the results of the festival’s educational projects. The venue will also host makers and artists, tattoo artists, a barbershop and other creative spaces. The festival will conclude on the evening of 29 August with a major concert featuring the band USURUM.

The organisers invite visitors to spend the whole day at the venue, combining performances with walks, relaxation and other activities. Food and soft drinks will be available on site. Yalia can be reached in approximately 50 minutes from Paphos, 1 hour 35 minutes from Limassol and 2 hours from Nicosia. Travel time depends on the point of departure and road conditions.

Camping is also available at Val’s Place by prior arrangement.

A two-day ticket costs €22 when purchased in advance and €28 at the entrance.
