Two Suspects Detained in Paphos in Brutal Assault Case
Paphos police have detained two 22-year-old men as part of an investigation into a case of assault causing grievous bodily harm. The arrests were made on the basis of court warrants.
According to law enforcement, the detainees have been taken into custody for investigative procedures and questioning.
The incident occurred at dawn on May 31 at an entertainment venue in the Paphos district. The victim of the attack was a 46-year-old man who sustained serious injuries.
The injured man was taken to Paphos General Hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with head injuries. After receiving first aid, the man was hospitalized for further treatment and observation.
The investigation is determining the circumstances of the incident, as well as the role of each of the detainees in the episode. Other details of the case are not yet being disclosed in the interests of the investigation.
The investigation is being continued by officers of the Paphos Central Police Station. Law enforcement authorities do not rule out further investigative actions in this case.
