Heavy traffic expected towards beaches and the mountains on the public holiday

Traffic on roads leading to Cyprus’s coast and mountain resorts is expected to increase throughout the day due to holiday travel. Police urged drivers to plan their routes in advance and, where possible, choose alternative roads to avoid congestion and ease traffic.

Motorists travelling from Limassol to Troodos are advised to use one of two alternative routes:

— Kantou — Omodos — Mandria
— Agia Fyla — Apesia — Kapilio — Trimiklini

At present, traffic on motorways, as well as coastal, mountain and urban roads, is moving without serious problems.
