A sign marking the “very first sunrise in the EU” has been unveiled in Protaras
A new viewing platform has been opened in Protaras and a special sign installed to mark the place where the very first sunrise in the European Union is seen. The project is intended to highlight the unique geographical position of Cyprus’s eastern coast as the EU’s easternmost point, where the morning sun’s rays arrive first.
The new Instagrammable spot is designed to attract tourists and lovers of beautiful morning shots. The sign symbolises the symbolic boundary where the European day begins, offering visitors a unique chance to greet the sunrise before anyone else in the European Union.
