Weapons and ammunition cache discovered in the Nicosia area
The Cyprus Republic Police discovered a cache of firearms and ammunition in the Nicosia area.
The cache was found on Saturday at around 14:30 in the Koutrafas area, near the old Nicosia — Troodos road. It was discovered following a report received by the police.
Police officers found a semi-automatic weapon, two pistols, two silencers, three magazines and 66 rounds of various calibres at the site.
All seized items have been sent for forensic examination. Police are establishing the origin of the weapons and the circumstances of their presence at the site.
