In Strovolos, 144 dogs had no licenses and 55 had expired permits
The Strovolos Municipality carried out a large-scale awareness campaign on responsible pet ownership. During raids and inspections, staff checked the status of 314 dogs. It was found that 144 of them were not registered, and 55 owners had expired licenses.
At the same time, 115 of the dogs inspected had valid permits. As part of the campaign, municipal services distributed informational brochures, spoke with owners about the rules for keeping animals, mandatory microchipping, and the importance of renewing licenses on time. Of the total number of violators identified, 85 owners have already brought their documents into order and obtained the necessary permits.
