Joe Lowe’s villa in Ayia Napa to go under the hammer
The court has officially ordered the seizure of the luxurious villa in Ayia Napa, owned by Malaysian financier Joe Lowe, who was implicated in a global corruption scheme.
The property, bought for 5.9 million euros in 2015 in order to obtain a “golden passport,” will be put up for auction. This is a landmark case for Cyprus: the owner did not challenge the confiscation, and the property itself became a symbol of the closure of the investment citizenship program after massive scandals.
