Owner of Melios Zoo Park files complaint to police against state officials over 16 incidents
The owner of Melios Zoo Park, Menelaos Menelaou, gave several hours of testimony at the police station in Kokkino Trimithia, which lasted about 9–10 hours. He filed an official complaint against employees of the Veterinary Service, the Game and Fauna Service, the Department of Environment, the District Administration and the Forestry Department. Menelaou accuses the state officials of collusion, as well as criminal and disciplinary offences that led to the closure of his business. For the investigation, he handed the police a 145-page memorandum containing official documents and correspondence, on the basis of which the police launched a formal inquiry.
