Residents of Germasogeia complain about a rise in burglaries
Residents of Germasogeia are sounding the alarm over a sharp increase in apartment thefts and burglaries. Local activists and community representatives say that in recent months criminals have become bolder, entering houses and apartments even during the day, when owners briefly step out on errands.
According to residents, they no longer feel safe in their own neighborhood. Residents believe the main reason for the situation is a lack of police patrols on the streets. A neighborhood initiative group is already preparing an official appeal to the municipal authorities and the leadership of the Limassol police, demanding stronger security measures, an increased police presence in residential areas and the return of regular evening and night patrols.
